»A short story about the Elephant« is an illustrative examination of the short story »The Elephant«. The story belongs to a collection of short stories in the book of the same name »The Elephant« (1957) by Slawomir Mrozek. It is Slawomir Mrozek's award-winning collection of hilarious and stimulating short stories that satirically depict the life in Poland, under a totalitarian regime. The work was written during my six-month semester abroad at the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych im. Jana Matejki in Kraków in the course Book Design.
